About The Role
The Estimating Lead role is considered an integral role will head a team of Estimators whose purpose is to estimate repairs for multiple, small to medium domestic and construction repairs. The Estimating Leader will direct the team’s activities, monitor progress against objectives, build skills and knowledge within the team and promote a culture of inclusion.
The Estimating Lead will have multiple projects under their management and is ultimately responsible for the completion of all estimations within the regulations outlined by the relevant building authority, instructions outlined by Insurer / Client and within specified timeframes. They are supported by Project Coordinators in the office.
Key Responsibilities
The Estimating Lead will be responsible for:
- Leadership: Providing oversight of all projects <$250k, and assisting with projects >$250k as required.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensuring consistency, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across the region.
- Business Development: Supporting initiatives to grow our major projects portfolio and securing new opportunities aligned with our strategic objectives.
- Stakeholder Management: Strengthening relationships with insurers, loss adjusters, quantity surveyors, and key partners.
- Governance: Improving risk management and project oversight frameworks.
- Capability Uplift: Driving continuous improvement and mentoring the team to enhance overall divisional performance.

- Technical Focus: A desire to support the preconstruction vertical and drive timely tender submissions for projects <$250k.
Key Skills and Qualifications;
- Proven skills in construction estimating for building repairs to both domestic and commercial properties
- Supervisor License will be highly regarded â Medium Rise or Open
- Ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of the construction process from concept to handover and WHS requirements
- Ability to interpret plans and engineers’ drawings
- Understanding of relevant Building codes and Australian standards
